Well-known mountain hut on a large karst field below Veľký Choč in a beautiful mountain environment. "Horský hotel Choč" is located not far from the main crossroads on the meadow by the forest, a dimensional Slovak classic, inside there is a more comfortable attic with dry planks, at the bottom sometimes less comfortable mud. Otherwise, it's more of a slightly better emergency.

The water is located quite far along the blue mark in the direction of Zadný Choč in the woods on the marked trail of small polana about 1 km from the chalet.

Veľký Choč is the only one of the Choč hills to be more frequently visited, yet you will not meet crowds here. In addition, few people go up the mountains with a backpack, so do not worry about staying overnight.

If you go the whole ridge from Ružomberok, then draw water at Predný Choč (marked turn at the former cottage - the only water in the karst area) and then put another twenty minutes on the field and you will see the mountain hut from afar. 50 meters above it is a crossroads.
