Functional mountain hut in the northern saddle below the Suchý peak in the main ridge of the Veľká Fatra. Luxuriously equipped with beds with mattresses, stoves and ovens, unfortunately quite often (often to Veľká Fatra) visited, even with strange existences that are able to leave behind piles of garbage.
The water is about 200 m south along the contour line.
- grazing season
Due to the fact that during the summer the mountain hut is used for grazing cows, the best time to visit is the winter season (although in summer of course the bacha will let you sleep in the attic), the mountain hut is in an ideal position for the winter crossing of the ridge. However, I would not go there for New Year's Eve, it is likely that it will already be occupied.
When you follow the red ridge sign, in the place where the steep climb to Suchý begins, turn to the meadow on the west side of the ridge, the mountain hut stands on the edge of the forest, about 100 m from the sign.
Photos from 2008 are out of date. In 2020, there are 3 comfortable sleeping places on the ground floor. The floor is not insulated! but there's plenty of room. The hut based on the guestbook is used very often.
Salaš je v perfektním stavu a kompletně vybavená. Když jsme dorazili, cihlová kamna byla ještě teplá. Jen vodní pramen, na který jsme se těšili jsme pod sněhem nenašli, tak jsme zůstali u rozpouštění sněhu. Jediná maličkost, na kterou si dejte pozor: je tam i spižírna a vypadá to, že tam drží myši. Tak ať vám přes noc neprohryžou bágly. :-)
Na Silvestra sa chystáme 5 ks do tejto búdy. Chystá sa tam ešte niekto? Verím, že sa pomestíme a bude veselo. :-)
