An open shelter on the edge of the forest, not far from the red-marked E3 long-distance hiking trail (also known as the “Trail Through Bohemia”). Smaller groups can sleep on the table and shelves along the walls; larger groups can sleep on the dirt floor. There is a working fireplace next to the shelter. Please note: this is private property, so it’s best to use it only in an emergency and during the off-season!

In the summer of 2026, water was available in a gully below the meadow. However, since the surrounding meadows are used for grazing, it is best to boil the water before drinking it.

Please note that this is private property, as indicated by the sign on the building! So I’d avoid weekends and probably the grazing and hunting seasons as well! I’d probably only use the shelter in an emergency, like when it’s raining or snowing.

The site is located near the red-marked E3 long-distance trail, between the Mordovna and Krásný Les signposts, on the descent from the summit of Mordovna, on the last meadow before the trail finally enters the forest. It is about 800 meters from the Mordovna signpost.
