Když jdete od Apatyky směrem ke Mšenu, tak
asi po 250 metrech najdete možnost odbočit doprava mezi skály. Když zde odbočíte, asi po dalších 250 metrech chůze odbočte doleva - opět při první příležitosti, kdy to bude možné. Najdete stezku, která vede cca po vrstevnici – po cca 3-5 minutách dorazíte k Sovímu hradu.
