Možnosti výstupu jsou z Reißkofel-Bad po cestě 233 do Welzbergu a dále po horských loukách až na severní kraj lesa. Tam odbočit z cesty doprava na Reißkofelbiwak (1750m). Přes louky a lesy po značené cestě lze asi za 1,5 hodiny dojít k bivaku.
