Německý název sedla na mapách Kompass je Hochalpljoch (2278 m), leží mezi hraničními vrcholy Hochalpl (2384 m) a Weisssteinspitz (2479 m). Přímo naproti na italské straně je majestátná Monte Peralba alias Hochweissstein (2694 m).
